The killer virus that kills cancer

Wellness and Dieting

The killer virus that kills cancer The herpes virus, which is the same virus that causes the little blisters that appear on your lips when you are stressed, was genetically modified and used by a team of Italian researchers in” in vivo experiments” that demonstrated its effectiveness in defeating the more advanced ovary and breast tumors. The researchers followed a particular approach. The virulence of the virus has been left intact but the virus has been given an access key only to diseased cells. It has been successful. Tumors of breast and ovary had been defeated. In Italy each year there are 42,000 new cases and 10,000 deaths. In studies conducted in laboratory 60% of sick mice had a complete recovery, while 40% showed a statistically significant inhibition of tumor growth. Interesting results came also from another aspect; the new patented virus could also affect brain metastases from these tumors that are unassailable with other drugs. Testing in humans, however, will take place in few years.
