The Advanced Training Course In Management Of Communication and Information in Healthcare, jointly organized by the Faculty of Education of the University Suor Orsola Benincasa in Naples, headed by Lucio d'Alessandro, and by the Training School in Health Management, Department of Preventive Medical Sciences, directed by Maria Triassi, of the Faculty of Medicine of the University Federico II, is about to start.
The course is intended for healthcare professionals seeking to broaden their managerial skills in relational dynamics, in organizational healthcare communication, and in working groups’ management, as well as for communication professionals who want to enrich their knowledge and experience in the field of healthcare.
Maria Triassi points out that "The course aims to provide participants with the knowledge for the management of communication as a managerial and governing tool for healthcare. The intent is to develop in the health professionals the ability to create effective communication strategies to motivate human resources, promote changes, increase appropriateness and productivity”. Lucio d’Alessandro specifies that ” Through our course the practitioners acquire the skills needed to design communication campaigns aimed at promotion and activities of health prevention, to promote targeted communication within the medical team with the work group, and with the patients and their families. We propose, therefore, a curriculum characterized by a strong integration of know-how by blending practical and experiential ".
But what is the difference between this course from other seemingly similar available in the market? The Scientific and Organizational-improvement Course Committee, composed of Maddalena Volpe, Professor of Economics and Management at the Suor Orsola Benincasa, Alessandra Dionisio, an expert in healthcare organizational communication at the AOU Federico II and coordinator of the intensive courses of the Communication Training in Healthcare Management School, Stefania Ferraro, PhD in sociology, communication, at the Suor Orsola Benincasa, provides this answer to this question: "Innovation, integration and testing are the foundations on which the course was designed. Experiences, best practices, sustainable and achievable objectives will be offered during the training. "
The course then, will not deal only with communication between health professional and patient, but also with communication strategies impacting on management, organization and media relations. Ample space will be devoted to the development of communication skills in teamwork and projects. Logics and policies for fundraising will be analyzed and discussed with experts and through testimonials.
The course starts in September, and will be held in Naples at the prestigious headquarters of Suor Orsola Benincasa. Will last 120 hours, including 85 dedicated to teaching activities (theoretical-practical lessons, simulations, case studies, role-play exercises, and workshops pitches), 10 hours of distance learning and 25 hours of experimentation in practice management, to create a final work project. The course will consist of two intensive meetings lasting eight hours every two weeks, supplemented by e-learning activities.
The notice will be published by the end of the month on the sites www.unisob.na.it and www.management-sanitario.it. For those who have already completed a training course at the School of Healthcare Management Training is provided for a reduced fee.
